Straight across from Dorrabay (under the flyover) is
‘The Walk’, a promenade along the coastline with a wide variety of
restaurants, shops and bars (in the hotels).
There are several hotels within walking distance along ‘The Walk’, the
nearest ones are: the Sheraton, Amwaj Rotana, Sofitel, Hilton, Oasis
Beach Towers.
The beach is a few minutes walk away. For the public beaches, walk
under the flyover and either to the left of the building under
construction or straight ahead and just past the Sheraton Hotel. The
Sheraton charges AED 100 on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) for use of
its beach club, more at weekends.
Dubai Marina Yacht Club – turn right outside Dorrabay, walk over the
first bridge and turn left
The local Metro station is about 10 mins walk away, or take a bus from
near the traffic lights to the Metro Station
Taxis are easily picked up outside the main entrance
Supermarkets
MINIMART . Located in the next building to Dorrabay, on
the ground floor, facing the Marina. Walk out the back of Dorrabay
along the Marina. Phone them up, they do home delivery.
There is an
excellent small supermarket in JBR first floor. Walk out of Dorrabay
towards the traffic lights. Cross the main road and go up the staircase
at JBR. Turn right at the top of the steps.
There is also
a PHARMACY nearby. WAITROSE Supermarket, is located in Dubai Marina
Mall
